Major Cryptocurrency exchange Poloniex was recently caught asking its followers on Twitter to buy and Hold the controversial cryptocurrency, Tron. Justin Sun, the founder and CEO of Tron had recently taken over a majority stake in the exchange.

The Tweet said, “Let’s buy #TRON”, but was taken down after 28 minutes. Fortunately the tweet was soon uncovered by the crypto Twitter bot @CryptoDeleted later in the day.

Many Twitter followers took many interpretations of the Tweet and did not hold back to point out the clear influence of the take over earlier last month.

Earlier Lat month, Just Tron mentioned on Twitter that he is a part of an investment group that have acquired majority stake in the Exchange. “Poloniex is one of the biggest exchanges in our industry,” Sun said on Twitter, “I think the exchange is going to grow and that’s why we collaborate with it to have more initiatives.”
