Ripple to Set Up Shop in DC

In a recent blogpost, Ripple has announced that it will set up an office in Washington DC, the heart of the US government. This more was taken in Ripple’s long term effort to spread its web on influence. Ripple aims to educate the Policy makers by engaging with them directly. For this, the team has also pulled in a former counselor to the Treasury Secretary, Mr. Craig Phillips.

With this move, Craig Phillips, has joined Ripple’s Board of Directors. Three other staffers were also added. Also, Ripple has joined the Blockchain Association — a coalition headed by Coinbase, Protocol Labs, and Circle, and investors such as Digital Currency Group and Polychain Capital — to help and “foster collaboration between the community and industry leaders, educate policymakers and the public on the benefits of blockchain and related technologies, and advocate for public policy that cultivates and enables innovation and improves lives.”

In other news, Ripple also revealed that it was included as a member of the Blockchain Association, an industry body that advocates for blockchain tech and sets out to build relationships between firms building distributed solutions and government.
