  • It is the first of its kind Live streaming and instant messaging platform
  • The beta version is out for users to experiment and report

BitTorrent Live, a live streaming P2P platform developed under the BitTorrent-Tron banner has announced the public Beta launch. On 20th September 2019, the platform will open its gates to the public. Users are asked to go and checkout out the platform before officially rolling it out to the mass audience.

BitTorrent Live is a social media video streaming app, and it’s one of the initiatives to give the BitTorrent Token (BTT) a use-case. The audience can watch their favorite content creators on BLive and reward them using BTT. In addition every content creator will get a share of advertisement income.

The news comes after last month’s press release stating that BitTorrent has officially started Alpha testing. With Beta ready in just less than a month, BitTorrent plans to roll out the full-fledged platform by Q1 2020 if all goes well.

At the time of writing one BTT was worth $0.000619, 8.25 percent up in the past 24 hours. This has probably got to do with the announcement of BLive. Tron, the holding company of BitTorrent, went up 7.13% and is now at$0.017407.
